Summer
in the Hotel Tirolerhof
Hiking and mountain-climbing.
This is a paradise for hikers. Every Friday morning, your hostess, Marlene, will accompany you to Vals/Valles - Jochtal to witness the sunrise. The pristine Altfass Valley is an unforgettable experience for hikers, as is the primeval Rodeneck/Rodengo high-altitude meadow and the Astjoch at 2,194 meters above sea-level, or the magical Fane Meadow with the Brixner Alpine Refuge. If you want to go higher, you might want to explore the 2,000 and 3,000-meter-high summits of the Sarn/Sarentino Alps and the Dolomites.
Nordic Walking.
Our high-altitude plateau is the ideal place for this healthy sport, which activated 90% of our body's muscles, relieves stress on the joints, and burns 46% more calories than walking at the same speed. You'll find five different trails in Rodeneck/Rodengo, alone: Alm walking on the Rodeneck/Rodengo Meadow, in Meransen, Spinges, or in the Valser Valley is the new hit. In the event that you are looking for a Basic Instructor for the Nordic Alfa Technique– your hostess, Marlene, is a certified instructor for that.
Horseback Riding and Climbing.
Touch, and pet these adorable horses: the "Grasspeinten" Stable in Pfalzen/Falzes and its ponies and petting zoo is an unforgettable experience. In South Tyrol's largest practice climbing garden and adventure park, with Lake Issinger next door, you can improve your balance and practice your climbing technique.
Bicycling and Swimming.
The gateway to South Tyrol is right in front of our hotel: There are so many bicycle paths to choose from. These exciting mountainbike trails will take you through meadows and forests all the way up to the Rodeneck/Rodengo Meadow. There's a connection to a transboundary bicycle path network, so you can bike along the Eisack/Isarco and Rienz/Rienza Rivers and explore the Eisack/Isarco and Pusteria Valleys. Of course, you'll welcome to take a dip in our outdoor swimming pool or to dive into the Lake Issinger – or perhaps you prefer the indoor swimming pools and adventure baths at the Acquarena in Brixen/Bressanone or the Alpine Pool in Meransen/Maranza (only 15 minutes away by car)?
